We recommend that all our insured familiarize themselves with the claims procedure in our policies.

We do want to emphasize, however, that according to the terms of our Owner’s and Loan policies, the insured must notify Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation promptly in writing upon the occurrence of certain events. Please see Section 3 of the Owner’s policy and Section 3 of the Loan policy. Failure to give prompt notice can result in a loss of, or reduced recovery by the insured.

Any notice of claim or other notice or statement in writing required to be given to Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation under your policy must be given to the company at the following address:

In the event the company is unable to determine the amount of the loss or damage, the company may, at its option, require as a condition of payment, that the insured claimant furnish a signed proof of loss.
